The world’s most expensive fruits and vegetables are being sold in supermarkets and restaurants across the country, with demand for them outstripping supply.
In California, the state that holds the US’ second largest fruits market, the market is already filled with thousands of customers every day.

In addition to fresh fruits and veggies, shoppers are also buying the best of local and organic produce, such as strawberries, kale, broccoli, kale-seeds and more.
The East Fruit and Vegetable Market, which is located at 615 Broadway in Santa Rosa, California, is the largest of its kind in the world.
“This is a market that has grown so much,” said the store’s owner, Jessica Gazzaniga, in an interview with NBC News.
“It’s like the world’s largest fruit market.”
The Santa Rosa market, which has been in business for almost 50 years, has seen the market grow from a single vendor to several vendors, according to Gazzeniga.
The fruit and vegetable market, located in the middle of the city, is popular with young people, as it’s located just off of Interstate 405.
“There’s an enormous demand for these fruits and the prices are right,” Gazziniga said.
The market also offers a great place for families to gather, as they can sample fresh produce in the fresh air.
“We’ve got the best selection of fresh fruit from all over the world, so everyone’s happy to be here,” said Gazzini, adding that the market has become a great source of social and educational opportunities for locals.
Gazzania is also a vegan, but that doesn’t stop her from catering to customers.
“I try to create a vegan-friendly environment,” she said.
“You can see how happy people are.”
Gazzanias son, Christopher, who runs the business, said that he hopes to continue to sell the fresh fruits, vegetables and other fruits in the market, but also to open more restaurants, which would allow people to sample new and different products.
“The markets are great places to get a little exercise and to make a new start,” he said.
Gansanias family has owned the business for 50 years.
“It’s such a great market,” Christopher said.
Christopher said that the company has sold more than 400,000 pounds of fresh produce since opening in 2010.
He also hopes to expand the market to more locations.
“Right now, we’re in the process of looking at locations around the country,” he added.
“We’re looking to expand our footprint to other cities as well.”
