Jakarta’s largest, aone fruit, market, will open next year in Belcourt.
The Indonesian fruit market is expected to open on October 11.
It will have a total of 70,000 stalls and will offer produce from all over Indonesia, including fruits from all major fruit producers, and vegetables from around the world.
The market, with a capacity of around 100,000, will be operated by Aone Fruit, an Indonesian conglomerate that is owned by Indonesia’s state-run agri-food company, Indonesia’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MASAD), and the Jakarta Post, among other companies.
The government has been considering opening more than 40 fruit and vegetable markets in Indonesia.
Aone, a major supermarket chain, is currently planning to open one in Jakarta, and the Indonesian government has also announced plans to expand fruit and vegetables markets in the country’s capital, Jakarta.
